Guardians of the Galaxy ist ein US Science-Fiction-Film aus dem Jahr 2014. Grundlage ist der gleichnamige Marvel-Comic. Regie führte James Gunn, der auch am Drehbuch mitgearbeitet hat. Schon am ersten Wochenende spielte der Film über 94 Millionen Dollar ein und war somit der beste Filmstart in dem Kino-Monat August aller Zeiten. Schon am Ende des Film wurde eine Fortsetzung angekündigt. Diese wird wahrscheinlich im Juli 2017 in die Kinos kommen.
